What this tool reads

Whether the registry has the name, and for a registered name: when it was registered, when it expires, the last change, the registrar and every EPP status code in plain words, including the expiry stages (auto-renew, redemption, pending delete).

A name the registry does not have may still be reserved or premium; the registrar shows the price when you try to buy it.

Capabilities and processing

Enter a domain or paste RDAP JSON. A domain is sent to our server, which asks the registry’s RDAP service; pasted JSON is read in your browser.

An RDAP not-found response is reported as no registration found; it does not guarantee that the name can be registered. For a registered name, the page shows its age, a timeline from registration to expiry, the registrar and every status code in plain words, including the expiry stages: auto-renew, redemption and pending delete.

Example workflow

The sample domain was registered in 2011 and is transfer-locked. Break it shows a free name, one expiring in two weeks, one in redemption with an estimated drop date, and one registered last week.

Limits and interpretation

Price, premium and reserved names are the registrar’s to say. Drop dates after redemption are estimates. Nothing is stored.
