Capabilities and processing
Enter a domain and pick a record type. Our server asks twelve public resolvers and the authoritative nameserver, and the page compares every answer with the authoritative one.
The report shows differing answers, observed TTLs and individual resolver errors. Differences can reflect caching, geo-routing or filtering; TTLs do not establish a deadline for global convergence.
Example workflow
On the sample domain, the address changed 40 minutes ago and three resolvers still hold the old one.
Limits and interpretation
Most public resolvers are anycast: they answer from the site nearest to our server, so a visitor elsewhere may reach a different cache. Nothing can clear another resolver’s cache. Nothing is stored.
