        Capabilities and processing

Enter a website and press Check now. Our server requests the address once, follows up to 5 redirects without cookies, and stops after 10 seconds. The result says whether the site is up, down or answering with errors, the status code, the time to the first byte and in total, the final address, and the stage where a failure happened: the name lookup, the connection, the TLS handshake or the HTTP answer.

When the site works from our server, the page says what to try on your side: another network, no VPN or ad blocker, a cleared DNS cache. When it fails, it says what the failure means and what the site's owner can check.

        Example workflow

The sample shop answers 200 OK after one redirect to www. Break it shows a refused connection, an expired certificate, a server that answers 503, a site that never answers, a slow site, and a host that does not exist.

        Limits and interpretation

The check runs from one place, our server. A site can be down in one region and up in another, or block our server while it works for you. Any answer below 500 counts as answering. Nothing is stored.
